Raised behind the “pine curtain” in north Louisiana, Jesse A. Colvin comes from a colorful line of Scottish-Welsh storytellers. After touring the country as a vagabond poet in his late teens, Jesse landed in Santa Fe County’s Galisteo River basin around 1971. He settled in the ghost towns of Los Cerrillos and Madrid, New Mexico–where he’s sculpted a life as rich and tethered to the land as the ocher mud of his hand-hewn adobe home. View more posts
